That's a wrap on SDC 2022!

It was big news for us this month as we hosted our first ever Sumo Developer Conference, where hundreds of people descended upon the University of Sheffield to hear over 50 talks from Sumo Digital’s very own speakers.

Did you hear? Sumo Digital is expanding into central Europe!

GamesIndustry.biz were among a number of media outlets that covered our exciting announcement that PixelAnt Games is opening a new studio in Prague, Czech Republic.

How Sumo India's Pune and Bangalore studios are leveraging Unreal Engine 5

Keeping with news on the talented folks at Sumo India Studios, Principal Systems Programmer Somasundara Pandian spoke to IGN India on how our studios in Pune and Bangalore are leveraging Unreal Engine 5 to build the games of the future. The interview takes a look at some of the amazing technology that Sumo India Studios, and other Sumo studios using UE5, are using to develop stunning AAA titles.

Fall Guys is free-to-play!

News spread like wildfire regarding the hit platform battle royale game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout moving to free-to-play, as well as cross-play and cross-progression!

Our Leeds-based studio Red Kite Games was mentioned in MCV/DEVELOP’s write-up on the announcement, and rightly so as our fantastic people were among those responsible for helping to launch the game to millions more players alongside Mediatonic.

Brand-new gruesome trailer for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

We ‘SAW’ it coming… numerous media sites were just as excited as we were when Sumo Nottingham and Gun Interactive revealed a new gameplay trailer for the multiplayer horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, based on the classic 1974 movie.

Sumo Group CEO talks growth and acquisitions

Sumo Group’s CEO Carl Cavers was featured in UKIE’s Playable Futures series, talking about a the key to a successful new generation of industry growth and what part mergers and acquisitions play in the industry's future.
